It is written to comply with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and its Information Privacy Principles, including the amendments made by the Privacy Amendment Act 2025.

1Who we are

2Information we collect

We only collect personal information that we need for a lawful purpose connected with our business. We collect it directly from you wherever possible.

When you contact us

If you use the contact form, email, phone or WhatsApp us, we collect the information you choose to give, such as your name, email address, phone number, the subject of your enquiry and your message. The contact form on this website opens your own email program with your message addressed to us; the website itself does not store your message.

When you visit the website

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records standard technical information in server logs, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the date and time of your visit. This is used for security and to keep the website running properly.

Providing information is voluntary. However, if you do not give us your contact details, we may not be able to respond to your enquiry.

3Information from other sources

Sometimes we receive personal information about you from someone else, for example a referral from another group company, a landlord, tenant, buyer or seller, a contractor, or a person making an enquiry on your behalf.

When we collect personal information about you indirectly, we will take reasonable steps, as required by Information Privacy Principle 3A, to make sure you are aware of the fact that we hold it, why we collected it, who will receive it, our name and address, and your rights to access and correct it, unless an exception under the Privacy Act applies.

4How we use your information

We use personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected, or for directly related purposes, including to:

We will not use your information for an unrelated purpose without your consent, unless the Privacy Act allows it.

6Overseas storage and transfer

Some of our service providers, such as email and website hosting providers, may store information on servers outside New Zealand. This website also loads its typeface from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google servers that may be located overseas, and your IP address is shared with Google for that purpose.

Where we disclose personal information to an organisation overseas, we take reasonable steps, in line with Information Privacy Principle 12, to ensure it is protected by safeguards comparable to those in the New Zealand Privacy Act.

7Cookies and website technology

This website does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or analytics tools, and it does not build a profile of you. If we introduce analytics or similar tools in the future, we will update this policy before doing so.

This website links to the websites of our group companies and to our social media pages. Those websites are responsible for their own privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their policies.

8Storage, security and retention

We take reasonable security safeguards to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, use, modification or disclosure. These include secure (https) connections to this website, access controls on our systems and limiting access to staff who need it.

We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for, or as required by law (for example, tax and accounting record keeping obligations). After that, it is securely deleted or destroyed.

9Marketing messages

We will only send you marketing emails or text messages with your consent, as required by the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007. Every marketing message will identify us and include a simple way to unsubscribe, and we will act on unsubscribe requests within five working days.
